Ben Paltiel

MCP 1

Ben Paltiel studies how tax, financial, land use and policy levers can incentivize the development of affordable housing, speed up permitting and construction and make communities more economically vibrant and livable. As a skier, mountain biker and long-distance hiker, Ben is interested in how mountain towns and other recreation-centric communities treat land use and development. Before arriving at MIT, Ben was an editor at the Washington Post and Bisnow, where he wrote about commercial real estate development, construction and tax policy.
