Yuri Zagorin Alazraki

Yuri Alazarki Zagorin is an architect and consultant based in Mexico City, Mexico. Zagorin is the founder and CEO of ZDA, a real estate development practice specializing in upcycling transformation through housing in urban areas. Previously, Zagorin served as Chairman of the consulting board for Mejor Ciudad, a non-profit organization that focuses on policy changes to facilitate affordable housing, and as Vice President for Urbanism and Sustainability for the National Board of Housing Developers (CANADEVI) for Mexico City and the State of Mexico.

 

Zagorin holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana and a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design (M.S.A.A.D) from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.

 

At MIT, Zagorin aims to understand and develop interdisciplinary strategies that make affordable housing possible and NGOs feasible in the long term.
