Iglal Misbah Elsadig Abdelgadir joined SPURS/Humphrey in 2018, previously serving as an architect and urban planner in the Ministry of Physical Planning in Khartoum, Sudan while concurrently pursuing her PhD at the University of Khartoum. Her research centered on extracting sustainable vernacular planning features from traditional neighborhoods. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Khartoum. At MIT, she studied the role of urban planning in addressing the economic development of rural areas.
