Heba Allah joined SPURS/Humphrey from her role as an associate professor at Cairo University’s Department of Architecture with over 15 years of academic and professional experience. She researches community development, participatory evaluation, informal areas, energy efficient urban planning, sustainable urbanism, affordable housing, quality of life and urban metabolism. She authored Energy Efficiency in the Urban Environment and currently participates in joint research projects as a principle investigator or team member with international research institutes such as IRD, France, TU Berlin, FU Berlin, HCU, Germany, Ecocity Builders NGO, USA, and Mundiapolis University, Morocco. She has also worked as an architect and urban planner with international agencies.
