Asmaa Ibrahim

Asmaa Ibrahim joined SPURS/Humphrey in 2018, from a role as an associate professor in the Architecture Department within the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University, Egypt. She was a senior coordinator in the double master’s program with Brandenburg University of Technology in Germany. She has worked as a consultant for the UN-Habitat since 2008. She received her PhD in urban planning from Cairo University. Her research centered around sustainable socioeconomic urbanization as a tool for tackling epidemic problems. At MIT, she explored methodologies for achieving spatial justice and the efficient distribution of economic resources in urban regeneration interventions.
