Leadership in Planning

Planning is an inherently political field, but many planners view working in such an environment as counter to their professional values. The truth is that planners must learn to adapt and lead in this environment. This work explores how planners can navigate leadership changes, conflicting political agendas, and challenges imposed by shifting budgets, policies, and priorities, while holding fast to their guiding values and making positive change in their communities.
