Walter Torous
CRE Executive Director; Senior Lecturer
Dr. Walter Torous is Executive Director of the MIT Center for Real Estate (CRE) and a Senior Lecturer holding a joint appointment in the Center for Real Estate and the Sloan School of Management. As executive director, Walter leads the CRE’s teaching, consortium activities, fundraising, and major events, while continuing to direct the Master of Science in Real Estate Development (MSRED) program. He also oversees the Center’s staff, budget, and strategic direction, and works closely with professor Justin Steil and the new Academic Curriculum Council to support the continued evolution of CRE’s academic programs and industry engagement.
