Sarafina Fabris-Green
Sarafina Fabris-Green is a Master in City Planning Candidate at MIT and originally from Austin, Texas. Put simply, Sarafina is a planner because she cares about how power is articulated through space. She is most interested in the way the urban design and policy interact to shape people's daily lives, access to mobility infrastructure, and opportunities to experience joy in our neighborhoods.
Before starting her city planning degree at MIT, Sarafina worked at Public Works Partners, a woman-owned planning firm based in New York City. There, she leveraged her experience in qualitative research and community engagement methods to advance a range of projects for nonprofit and government clients focused on multi-modal transportation, workforce development, and more inclusive approaches to New York’s climate transition.
