In a new book Against Tech Oligarchy, JS Tan — a current DUSP Phd student — writes about tech worker activism, the shifting labor politics of Silicon Valley, and the rise of today's tech oligarchs. In the AI age, as tech's most powerful leaders unilaterally force the new technology upon its workers, this book makes the case that workers — when united — can build the leverage to push back; and even fight for more equitable and socially just ways to use the technology.
