JS Tan (DUSP, MIT), Natalia Luka (UC Berkeley), and Emily Mazo (Columbia) have published a new article, “Unlikely Organizers: The Rise of Tech Worker Labor Activism,” in ILR Review, one of the leading journals in labor and employment relations.
Drawing on original research, the article examines why U.S. tech workers—long viewed as unlikely participants in labor movements—have increasingly engaged in labor organizing, and what this shift reveals about changing power dynamics in the technology sector.
