Yulin Chen

Yulin Chen joined SPURS from her post as an associate professor in the Department of Urban Planning within the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University, China. She received her bachelor’s degree in architecture and PhD in urban planning from Tsinghua University and previously worked there in the Department of Sociology as a postdoctoral research fellow. With a background in urban planning and sociology, she studies migrants’ integration and spatial responses. At MIT, she focused on urban governance in megacities and housing policy for migrants.
