Jesus Monreal Carvajal joined SPURS/Humphrey in 2018, where he served as the founder and head of design at DA+C, an architectural design and construction firm. He also co-founded of the Urban Observatory of Los Mochis. He has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the National Institute of Technology of Mexico in Los Mochis. At MIT, he focused on finding new models for determining land use, creating healthy places, and fostering social justice in slums and low-income neighborhoods in Mexican cities.
