ICA Exhibition: L'Merchie Frazier

On view until August 2, 2026, at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, this exhibition traces the history and impact of the African American Master Artists-in-Residence Program (AAMARP). The exhibition includes artwork by L’Merchie Frazier, a MIT MLK Visiting Scholar, whose work is featured among other artists.

Founded in 1977 by Dana C. Chandler Jr., AAMARP has supported generations of Black artists, and the show highlights their work from 1977 to the present, celebrating creative resistance, cultural memory, and Black artistic excellence.
