Pros and Cons of Various Approaches to Ensuring Public Participation in National Climate, Energy Transition and Environmental Justice Policy-making in the Netherlands

Please join the EPP group for a lunch talk with Dr. Frans Evers on Wednesday, November 2. Dr. Evers’s talk is titled “Pros and Cons of Various Approaches to Ensuring Public Participation in National Climate, Energy Transition and Environmental Justice Policy-making in the Netherlands.” 

Lunch will be available at 12:15 and the talk will begin at 12:30 in 9-217.

Dr. Evers is based at the Hilverbeek Institute for Sustainable Development, and is the chairman of the Mutual Gains Network in the Netherlands. He has held roles including deputy-chairman of the Dutch Commission for environmental impact statement, member of the European Environmental and Sustainable Development advisory councils, chair of international working groups for the United Nations, and president and cofounder of the Sustainability Challenge Foundation, a not for profit educational organization that focuses on creating ways to sustainable development as a result of well-designed consensus-building processes.
