Kee Moon Jang

Kee Moon Jang is a postdoctoral associate at MIT Senseable City Lab. Working at the interface between cities, people, data and design, his research interest is in leveraging data-driven approaches to understand the interaction between urban environment and people, and draw implications for future planning based on quantitative evidence. His recent works investigates the potential use of generative AI for placemaking purpose in urban design practice and variations in green exposure levels on commute routes depending on different transport modes. He completed his PhD with focus on urban design and analytics at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2022. He also holds a B.S. (2016, minor in Business Technology Management) and M.S. (2018) degrees from KAIST.

He was recently selected in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list (2023) - Healthcare & Science category (link).
