Felipe Suárez Giri

Previously Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with Uruguay's Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning, responsible for monitoring informal settlement projects and reporting to the Inter-American Development Bank. Previously worked as a consultant for the Central Bank of Uruguay. 

Has a bachelor's degree in Economics from University of the Republic, Uruguay; a master's degree in International Development from the University of Brighton; and a master's degree in Urban Studies from 4CITIES (Université Libre de Bruxelles, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, University of Vienna, University of Copenhagen, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad Complutense de Madrid). 

During the MIT fellowship, aims to deepen knowledge of evaluation techniques for investments in infrastructure, investigate innovative financing mechanisms for development projects, and explore the sustainability implications of new technologies, such as AI and Web 3.
