Building Collective Power & Climate Justice Through Community Ownership of Distributed Energy Resources

The energy transition, away from a nearly-fully fossil fuel-based system and towards a renewable future, is happening. This research project aims to build a deeper, applied understanding of how innovative developments of renewable distributed energy resources (DERs) can be designed and utilized to build civic capacity and community power, through the frame of climate justice for Black, Brown, and working class and poor communities.
