Miquel Rossello Xamena
Miquel Rosselló is a first-year MCP student, focused on urban governance and the intersection of governance, planning, and social justice. He has a background in Political Science and Law and has completed a Master's in Urban and Metropolitan Studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, as well as a Postgraduate Degree in Data Science from the Universitat de Barcelona, with a research focus on residential segregation and urban governance in Mallorca and Barcelona.
Professionally, he has served as a political and policy advisor for Barcelona City Hall and for the Consell Nacional de Joventut de Catalunya, the federation of youth social movements in Catalonia. He has also worked as a policy analyst at 300.000 km/s, an urban planning studio based in Barcelona. Additionally, he has been a researcher in metropolitan governance in Spain, contributing to publications such as Metrópolis sin gobierno.
Beyond his career, he has acted as a political strategist for various political movements in Mallorca, his place of origin. His activism has resulted in the publication of a book on social and political movements, El mirall de l'esquerra, and contributions to publications from green and social think tanks, including Fundació Darder-Mascaró, Debats pel Demà, and Institut Sobiranies.
