Marco Herndon

MCP Candidate

Marco focuses his time in the US, Perú, and Latin America more broadly. His expertise is in building partnerships between academics, technologists, and policymakers to approach urban challenges such as decarbonization, sustainable mobility, and development. Prior to joining DUSP, he managed strategic partnerships at Waze, where he helped city transit agencies worldwide use real-time data for transit planning. Marco holds a BA in Urban Studies and Latin American Studies, honors in the major and cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania and is a Fulbright alumnus. In college, he participated in exchange programs at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and Fundação Getulio Vargas. Marco is a native bilingual Spanish speaker, is fluent in Portuguese, and has worked in the US, México, Perú, Argentina, and Brazil.
