Constantinos Gallis
Constantinos is a Greek-Swiss artist, musician, and student from Athens, currently pursuing a dual Master of Architecture and Master in City Planning. His work explores the socio-environmental implications of urban growth, stagnancy, and decay. He has pursued these interests through academic research, audio-visual investigations in Berlin and the Bay Area, and professional experience with design firms in Athens, London, and New York.
In 2022 Constantinos created an album entitled 'Third Places' too map and compare the audio-visual environments of twelve urban sites, and in 2023 he created 'Atmospheres for Windhover' a one-time live ambient performance composed specifically for the Windhover Contemplative Center. In 2024, alongside four collaborators, Constantinos created a video installation entitled 'Confluence', which reflected the relationship between humans and the natural world, and was displayed on the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco for six days. Furthermore, he independently designed and taught a course at Stanford University entitled 'Athenian Urbanisms', which focused on the city’s contemporary urban challenges, architectural history, and shifting identity.
Constantinos received a B.A. in Urban Studies from Stanford University, and graduated with honors and distinction, receiving the Firestone Medal for Excellence in Research for his thesis entitled 'Elastic Futures: Re-imagining the City’s Relationship with Nature in West Athens'.
