Mixed-Income and Affordable Housing Policy & Finance

This half-term course is intended for students interested in multi-family housing development who wish to understand the fundamental issues and requirements of mixed-income and affordable housing finance and investment.  It will provide students with an understanding of how different levels of affordability are achieved under various scenarios, including the use of public subsidies, and offers an overview of federal, state, and municipal policies and programs targeting housing affordability.  Students gain practical experience developing detailed financial projections for a mixed-income housing development proposal.
