Participatory Action Research (PAR) 1

This course introduces students to Participatory Action Research (PAR), an approach to research and inquiry that enables communities to examine and address consequential societal problems. This course will explore theoretical and practical aspects of PAR practice. Topics covered include: history and aims of PAR; PAR as a form of applied social science; PAR in practice; and PAR approaches to qualitative, quantitative, urban science, visual, and case study-based approaches.
