Development Theory II

This course in international development theory is aimed primarily at doctoral and advanced masters students. It is the second part of a two-semester sequence. The Fall 2018 course covered historical and theoretical perspectives at the core of International Development, from modernization and neo-classical theories to post-colonial and heterodox approaches. It was organized around the topics and materials that constitute the first field of the IDG general exam. This second Spring 2019 part of the course focuses on select ‘cutting-edge’ sub-areas of international development.
