THRIVE at MIT: Navigate your MIT experience through mentoring and personal development

Designed for first-year undergraduates, this seminar will support students in building a foundation for and designing their MIT experience. Through experiential learning activities, students will interface with upper-level students, staff and faculty who will guide and mentor them in their transition to MIT. Students will learn about fostering positive relationships, building community, developing a personal leadership style, and ethical decision making. Students will also receive mentoring throughout the semester to help strengthen and apply skills related to thriving academically, socially, and personally at MIT. The seminar is an extension of a pre-semester First-Year Pre-Orientation Program (FPOP), but participation in the FPOP is not required.
