Danya is a PhD candidate in Environmental Policy and Planning at MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning. She is also the Project Manager for the New England Climate Adaptation Project, a researcher at the MIT Science Impact Collaborative, and an Associate at the Consensus Building Institute. Danya's work and research focus on developing and testing tools for supporting more collaborative, science-based environmental decision-making, particularly around climate change adaptation and mixed-use natural resource planning. She was a 2008 Fulbright Scholar in New Zealand and holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Management and Geography as well as a B.S. in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Economics.
