DUSP students Elizabeth Kuwada, Alison Crowley and Laura Martin are members of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston's 2014 Affordable Housing Design Competition two winning teams . The competition pairs teams of graduate students with affordable housing organizations to develop innovative and comprehensive development proposals addressing the needs of these organizations.
• Elizabeth Kuwada team’s won first place for their AlmaViva project. The team was composed of Harvard and BU students and they worked with Lawrence Community Works.
• Alison Crowley and Laura Martin’s team won third place for their Jackson Spring project in Jamaica Plain. Their team included students from Harvard. The team was mentored by Peter Roth, and they worked with The Community Builders.
