In the News: Annette Kim on Beijing's Bomb Shelters

Nate Berg, writing in Atlantic Cities, has a new article on recent research by Professor Annette M. Kim.  The article, entitled "Beijing's Bomb Shelter-Dwellers May Be Making a Rational Choice About Their Commute," describes a situation existing quite literally just below the surface: an estimate two-million of the city's residents are living in former bomb-shelters, which serve as de facto affordable option to meet the housing demand of the growing city.
