A new Collaboration forms for Equity and Sustainable Development in Post-conflict Colombia

MIT CoLab has been building partnerships with the objective of identifying strategies to build equity into models of climate change mitigation and sustainable development in post-conflict Colombia. Partners includes the Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible (Colombian Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Leibniz Universität Hannover.

Over the 2018 Independent Activities Period (IAP), J. Phillip Thompson (DUSP Professor) and Juan Camilo Osorio (DUSP doctoral student) led a team of MIT graduate students to conduct fieldwork in Mocoa, workshops in Bogotá, and strategic meetings with relevant government institutions.
