May Issue of Franknews Focuses on Planning

Franknews, an online publication dedicated to the continuous examination of the institutions shaping our everyday experiences, is devoting the current May 2018 issue to urban planning.

Each day of May, a new multimedia piece of content will be published, delving into the range of planning professionals’ views on urban planning. From the physical to the social, from data visualization to literature - the various angles and approaches to understanding and influencing the structures that underpin our daily lives will be examined. Franknews leverages their online formatting to allow for publication of a range of pieces, from videos, essays, and data visualizations.

Curated and edited by Kelly Leilani Main (MCP candidate), Max Moinian (MCP Candidate), Tatti Ribeiro, and Clare McLaughlin, this month will feature a host of content from DUSP faculty, alumni, and students – including Tom Campanella (PHD ‘99), Polina Bakhteiarov (SB ’10 & ’11, MCP ‘11), Lawrence Vale (Ford Professor of Urban Design and Planning), Brent Ryan (Associate Professor of Urban Design and Public Policy), and Garnette Cadogan (DUSP MLK Visiting Scholar).
