Onesimo Flores Dewey

Onésimo Flores Dewey is a Visiting Lecturer working in urban transportation. Onesimo holds a law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana, a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a PhD in Urban Planning from MIT. His research explores the political conditions that enable or constrain decision-making in the urban transport realm. He is part of the Transforming Urban Transport research initiative hosted at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD), authoring case studies on the implementation of bus rapid transit in Mexico City, the regulation of ride-sharing services in San Francisco, and the pairing of the Cheonggyecheon Stream restoration with bus service reform in Seoul. While at Harvard, Onesimo taught a graduate level course, Transportation Planning and Development. Onesimo has consulted for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and INFONAVIT.
