The Urban Sustainability Assessment (USA) Project involves developing and testing a protocol for systematically evaluating the effectiveness of urban sustainability programs in the United States. This project is yielding several sample assessments—on composting, urban agriculture, tree planting, and light rail—as well as a protocol that academic or consulting teams can use to develop their own assessments.
