City Initiatives for Climate Action

All are welcome to this week’s Community Energy Innovations Lunch Seminar: City Initiatives for Climate Action.  Wednesday March 19, 12:30-2:00 PM Room 10-401.

We’re very pleased to be joined by two distinguished guests - who are leaders of Boston area urban efficiency initiatives (and recent grads):

·         Nikhil Nadkarni – City of Boston - Manager of Buildings and Climate programs – and leader of Boston Disclosure Ordinance program (BERDO).  Boston is the #1 city for energy efficiency in 2013 according to ACEEE – and this program is a key part of that!

·         Erin Brandt – MAPC – Regional Planning Agency – Director of the Energy Action Program, spurring energy efficiency initiatives in Boston area communities. MAPC’s work is creating newgreen community models for efficiency, solar, public facilities, street lights, and other community energy innovations.

Sponsored by MIT Green Economic Development Initiative and Energy Efficiency Strategy Project.  Questions can be directed to Tara Aubuchon taubuch@mit.edu .
